Liqum has long experience measuring and monitoring the mining processes, slurries, circulating waters and waste waters.

Mines are generally located in areas where water sources are limited and the environment is very sensitive to changes. This requires the mining industry to meet very high standards in total process management and water monitoring. Every litre saved in the minerals production process reduces the burden on the environment.

In March 2007, Outotec Oyj acquired the Chena technology, exclusive rights to minerals and metals processing technology, Chena trademark and two related patent families on electrochemical measuring and process monitoring.
